I've had a really frustrating time with this service. They’ve come out three times to install my stairs and landing, and they still can’t get it right. The first visit left a line down both landings, and three stairs were cut too short. I had to wait four weeks to see if those lines would disappear, but they didn’t. Eventually, someone showed up to fix it, but they wouldn’t install the stairs because they weren’t sure if they had permission and couldn’t reach Sarah. They did refit both landings but left a huge lump of underlay, making the carpet look awful. Plus, they didn’t bring the door bars I had already paid for. On the third visit, they tried to fix the small landing and stairs, but now they’re all baggy. So, I’m stuck waiting again for someone to come out. They’re quick to take your money but won’t refund me, even after I’ve asked multiple times for them to just take the carpet up and give me my money back. Apparently, that’s not their policy! Unless you’ve got loads of time to waste, I’d steer clear of these guys.

Had a great experience today at the Osmaston Park Road location. AJ was the one who assisted me, providing helpful advice on selecting my vinyl flooring. I've shopped here multiple times and have always been pleased with both the prices and the service. Definitely would recommend this place!

I can't praise Carpet Stop Derby enough. The team is super friendly and very professional. The carpet installers and the joiner (I've bought both carpet and wooden floors) do an amazing job. The store has a huge selection of carpets, catering to every budget. They truly are 'the most affordable around.' I wouldn't shop anywhere else.

If Carlsberg had sales staff, AJ would be the one. This dude's customer service is top-notch. He genuinely cares about what you need and goes above and beyond to make sure you're satisfied.

Plus, Sohail and Asif are hands down the best carpet fitters I've ever come across.

The dates just keep shifting, and it’s been a terrible experience with the fitters. The person who came to measure the carpets seemed completely oblivious, not realizing that I have serious physical disabilities and can’t move furniture. They even claimed one of the wardrobes was already fitted! Now, about the fitters—where do I even begin? They showed up to install the carpets but decided against it because they said the furniture needed to be moved. They just walked out, telling me I’d have to rebook and cough up an extra £60 for them to handle the furniture. And get this—they were instructing other contractors on how to do their jobs! I had to tell them to focus on their own work and leave mine alone. It feels like these fitters have issues with women and people with disabilities. Use their services at your own risk.

I got a quote yesterday from a gentleman named A J. He was really polite and super helpful. I'm getting my carpet installed in early May, and I can't wait! I'd definitely recommend this company to my family and friends.

Avoid at all costs! We waited more than a week just to get a quote, and while the price seemed fair, the estimating service was just terrible. They came to our place twice (and were keen on a third visit) which set off alarm bells - we’ve chosen to go with another company.

Taking legal steps over faulty vinyl. After buying from and suggesting Carpetstop numerous times, they’ve finally let me down enough to consider court. I ordered a remnant over the phone, and when it came time to fit it, it turned out to be the flimsiest, most tear-prone junk I’ve ever encountered. Carpetstop doesn’t seem to care—I've initiated court proceedings and won’t be using or recommending them again.

I’m super happy with my carpet from The Carpet Stop and would totally suggest them. The team, including the carpet installers, were super nice and really helpful. I’ll for sure be going back to The Carpet Stop.
